Prince William County’s approved 2026–27 student calendar opens August 24 and ends June 17, 2027. Its March spring week adjoins a teacher workday, while its January return follows the New Year holiday weekend.

Prince William County Public Schools

Board-approved student calendar, published in December 2025. March 29 is also a teacher workday with no classes; students return after that additional day. Source is the district’s Spanish calendar page.

Prince William adds a workday after spring recess

Spring break runs March 22–26, 2027, followed by a March 29 teacher workday with no students. The district’s calendar says schools reopen January 4 after winter recess. These are Prince William dates, not a regional agreement covering Fairfax, Loudoun, Richmond or Washington, DC.
