Arizona School Breaks 2026–2027

Chandler’s 2026–27 balanced calendar begins in July and provides two-week intersessions in fall and spring. That makes a conventional August-to-May assumption a poor fit for a family using this Phoenix-area district schedule.

Calendar details that affect days off

Chandler Unified School District

Balanced calendar with a July start and two-week intersessions. December 18, January 4 and March 22 are additional student days off for staff work.

Recess dates follow the linked calendars; adjacent staff days and holidays can extend a student's time away. “See official calendar” means that field has not been verified here. Recheck the source for revisions before arranging care or travel.

Chandler’s intersessions change the shape of the year

The first student day is July 15, 2026. Fall intersession spans September 21–October 2, and spring intersession runs March 8–19, 2027. Teacher workdays on October 5 and March 22 add student-free days after those blocks. This is a useful Arizona example of why a short “spring break in March” answer needs the actual district and calendar type. Other Arizona districts can use a different school-year rhythm.
