Colorado School Breaks 2026–2027
Colorado’s Front Range examples divide between two March 2027 spring weeks. Douglas County and Aurora list March 15–19, while Jeffco and Adams 12 list March 22–26. Thanksgiving is more closely aligned across these four calendars.

Jeffco Public Schools
Includes a fall break October 12-13, 2026; on May 27 all PK-12 district schools dismiss 2.5 hours early (charter schools excluded).
Douglas County School District
Includes a fall break October 12-16, 2026; the PDF footer states it was approved by the Board of Education June 18, 2024, and lists December 18 and January 4 as teacher work days with no students.
Aurora Public Schools
Preschool and kindergarten start August 10, 2026; the district's calendar page lists the K-12 last day as May 21, 2027 while its news post lists May 27, 2027, so the last day is left unconfirmed.
Adams 12 Five Star Schools
Includes a fall break October 12-16, 2026; the PDF is dated November 3, 2025 and marked subject to revision.
Recess dates follow the linked calendars; adjacent staff days and holidays can extend a student's time away. “See official calendar” means that field has not been verified here. Recheck the source for revisions before arranging care or travel.
Front Range neighbors can break a week apart
All four examples close November 23–27, but their August openings range from Aurora’s August 6 start for grades 1–12 to Jeffco’s August 19. The winter return is another point to check: Jeffco’s published break continues through January 5. Aurora’s official pages disagree on the last student day, so this guide leaves that field open rather than choosing one conflicting date. Adams 12 lists a May 20 finish, earlier than Jeffco and Douglas County.

Their published weeks do not overlap: Douglas County lists March 15–19 and Jeffco March 22–26, 2027.
Why is Aurora’s last day not supplied here?
The district’s official calendar page and news post list different May endings. The source needs clarification before an exact last day can be published confidently.
