Nashville’s staff days extend several named breaks
October 9 is a stockpiled professional development day before the October 12–16 fall break. January 4 is another student-free staff day, with the third quarter beginning January 5. At the end of May, high-school exam schedules have half days before the May 25 half-day ending for all students. Pre-K and kindergarten also begin with half days August 11–12. These distinctions affect care and transportation even when the main vacation dates look straightforward.
