Toms River Regional Schools
Calendar lists the last day as tentative and also shows school closed January 1 for winter recess and April 1-2 for spring break.
Elizabeth Public Schools
Calendar provides 180 student days; schools close at 12:15 p.m. on the last student day.
Paterson Public Schools
Spring break continues April 1-2, 2027; the PDF is marked subject to change as of 2/4/26 and its June student dates are internally inconsistent (June 21 in the notes, June 23 in the monthly grid).
Recess dates follow the linked calendars; adjacent staff days and holidays can extend a student's time away. “See official calendar” means that field has not been verified here. Recheck the source for revisions before arranging care or travel.
A short spring comparison cannot predict summer
Newark’s June 28 finish and Toms River’s tentative June 11 finish are more than two weeks apart, despite their overlapping spring windows. Elizabeth lists June 22 with early dismissal. Paterson’s PDF contains conflicting June student dates, so this guide does not supply a last day for that row. That is a source conflict rather than evidence that the district has no calendar. December holiday and recess entries should also be read together when the January 1 closure appears in a separate monthly block.

Do Newark and Elizabeth share spring break in 2027?
No. Elizabeth lists March 22–26 and Newark March 29–April 2.
Why is Paterson’s final student day left open?
The official PDF gives different June dates in its notes and monthly grid. The district should resolve the inconsistency before that date is used for fixed plans.
