South Carolina School Breaks 2026–2027

Charleston, Richland Two and Berkeley County place spring vacation on different March–April 2027 windows. Their Thanksgiving and winter entries also differ, including days that can be reclaimed for weather make-up.

Charleston County School District

The PDF is marked updated 10/14/2026; November 23-24 are fall break days that may be used as weather make-up days, and students return January 5, 2027.

Richland School District Two

Lists a student holiday block of February 12-16, 2027 and a half day for all students on the last day.

Berkeley County School District

Board approved 10/20/2025; the calendar lists inclement weather days October 12, 2026, February 12, 2027 and March 12, 2027.

Lexington County School District One

Revised 08-28-2026; the calendar designates October 12, 2026 and February 15 and April 26, 2027 as weather make-up days.

Charleston’s Thanksgiving week has a weather condition

Charleston lists November 23–27 for student time off, but November 23–24 can become weather make-up days. Richland Two instead lists November 25–27 and carries winter break through January 5. Berkeley County’s June 3 ending is later than the May finishes in the other examples. The calendars identify their own replacement days; a published holiday block should therefore be read alongside those conditions when planning a nonrefundable departure.
